At a series of certificate presentations, I was invited to the front of the house to shake hands with Mrs Anne Elizabeth Ely (Chairman and Honorary Director of the Trust) and the Trust’s ‘foreign ambassadors’, Sir Martyn Poliakoff (of the Royal Society) and Professor Ash Amin (of the British Academy). My recognition at the trust ceremony was with regard to my having been awarded the British Academy Small Grants Scheme Scholar, in September, 2014.
